El Aleph Boutique Hotel Mar del Plata

El Aleph Boutique Hotel Mar del Plata • (name inspired by two main reasons, first the “E” and “A” vocals that represent the name and last name of the father of the owner of this hotel, and second by the worldwide renown short story by Jorge Luis Borges – El Aleph).
El Aleph is located in between the neighborhoods of Los Troncos and Playa Grande, being two of the best and most upscale residential areas of Mar del Plata, right off Leandro N. Alem avenue.
In 2006 the hotel opened its doors for the first time, ran by this lovely and sweet straight couple in their late 50’s, with over the top taste for simple but beautiful things and details… to quickly become the favorite destination of those searching of great taste, personality, personalized service and coziness.
Only 06 rooms located out of the main house, where you will find the living room, kitchen and common areas. Rooms all face to an internal patio with lots of green area. All rooms have been given a name of important members of the family ( Mamu, Peter, Machi, Gaby, Becky and Luly ).
The decoration and style, true to its small boutique and semi bed and breakfast concept, is simple, non pretentious, but still full of great taste, textures and what it makes it unique… heart, by she, Mirta Alvarez the daughter of Enrique Alvarez the former owner of the house. She is in every single detail, and eager to share with you her passion and dedication to your comfort and overall outstanding outcome of your experience and visit.
Rooms are fully equipped with full bathrooms, air conditioning, heating, WiFi access and flat TV screen. Rooms rate from the unbeatable USD 80 x night on including: room night + breakfast + tea.
Breakfast and Tea are served everyday…. at the external lounge and coffee area, where you may choose subject to weather or temperatures conditions, to have it inside or out at the garden or galleria of you room’s door.
I was, personally, quite impressed by a few things at this hotel. (1). The sweetness and welcoming attitude of Mirta and her husband, going beyond needs to make us feel comfortable and part of the house. (2). the fact every single space and room, regardless they were occupied or not, all had FRESH colorful flowers… which believe me… I am around, and you will not find at even most of the top 5 stars hotels worldwide. (3). The whole story behind their family heritage and tradition, that translates and inputs in every single corner of this charismatic and charming house.
Without a doubt, from now on among one of my favorite hotels in Argentina. Just as I like them SMALL, SIMPLE, CHIC, FANCY and WITH A BIG HEAT.

The original Family Stamp with the initial “E” and “A”, used to mark the cows that stood for Enrique Alvarez, and now El Aleph. CM
