The villa was originally the home of Marquis Malaspina (a rich and powerful advisor of the local ruler, Cangrande della Scala) and his heirs. It soon became a magnificent manor house surrounded by woods and fields, besides being the superb residence of the Marquisate. The Colombara Tower, which still towers over the surrounding landscape, was a testament of the family’s powerful lineage.

Hotel Villa Malaspina offers accommodation in 70 individually designed rooms and junior suites, warm and welcoming, each is in different size and color. They are all equipped with the latest modern facilities.
Hotel Villa Malaspina provides guests with the soothing atmosphere and attention that you need after a hard day at work or after a day’s excursion to Verona and its beautiful surroundings. What could be better than a moment of tranquility in the hotel’s area of relaxation? Just take a swim in our pool or tone up in our fitness room or do some jogging along our jogging route… or simply relax! Steam and sauna rooms, Jacuzzi and solarium are at you disposal.
I have got the Deluxe Double room (the one you can see on the video), and I an extremely happy with it and the view from my room. High ceilings, lots of space for the European standards and huge bathroom. So if you are planning to visit Verona, keep this option in mind. CM

SPRITZ • my new favorite drink

TweetSince I arrived to Venice and now in Verona, I have fallen in love with this drink – SPRITZ – that captivated my eyes while strolling by the channels of Venice for it characteristic and charming ORANGE color on sexy stem glasses. While I was relaxing at the lobby bar of the Villa Malaspina Hotel in Verona, the bartender kindly teach me how to fix my new favorite drink, and here I share the recipe with all of you: APEROL Aperitiv + Vino Espumante BRUT + Sparkling water served on the rocks with a slice of Orange on a stem glass. Come on what else do you need … VERONA or VENICE plus Spritz. Try it, I guarantee you will love it. Ready for some more ha ha ha … CM
